Doc, what would you recommend for someone on a budget of <=$250 to build a kit to deal with an EMP event? I'm thinking a static shielding bag, a small two way radio of some kind, a small power inverter, and if your vehicle uses it a spare FOB. Can that be done at that price point? Is there something I'm missing?

Thank you for the suggestion to wrap electro-optics with conductive cloth – always figured the only solution was keeping a spare red dot with the other stuff in my faraday bag (NX series, which you recommended).

How many of the damage estimates on free standing devices have been backed up with testing consistent with expected EMP field strength?

either solar or EMP after they able to penetrate all the forces in atmosphere will be easily absorbed by ALL THE METAL – buildings, roofs , walls then there’s absolutely nothing to go into wires .
considering wires are tiny to the scale of all the other metallic structures.

not going to talk about power needed to deliver EMP at altitudes mentioned.

this video is an example of absolute stupidity.

Ive watched multiple emp sumulation tests that showed most small electronics WONT be damaged unless close to the epicenter
