I just ordered your OBD2 from Faraday defence for my 2007 Toyota Aurion, now I see you have them now. I also have a 1994 Australian XG Falcon ute with a battery and cigarette lighter traps. It doesn’t have a OBD2 port.
I wonder if you would need a led light or button with light to test. If it stopped working (say blown internal fuse, etc) I wouldn’t know.
so if you have a metal shed that is grounded thats going to be a similar method to the sheet?
It’s one thing to protect your vehicle, if your key FOB is exposed, you still won’t be able to start your car once your FOB gets fried. I keep a spare FOB in a black faraday pouch and hidden inside my vehicles. Take the key in your fried FOB and open the drivers door and then you have a FOB that’s operational for your car to see.

We’ve been looking at the TRAP system for our vehicles but we can’t figure out how it doesn’t short out the battery when it is attached to the + and – terminals.
I wonder if grounding sheets sold for your bed would provide protection, if not somewhat less effective.
I’d think there would be a CME large enough to disrupt vehicle electronics. There isn’t? We really need not worry?

Thanks for the video. Are older vehicles safer than newer ones? If yes, is it progressive, i.e. a car from the 1950s is better than a car from the 1970s which is better than a car from the 1990s?
