Is there a reason you used 2×4 instead of 1×3? Could you use 1×3 for boarder and trim? What was the angle you had to cut for the inside X at the point?

I hope you did not throw away the old door wood. they are circular saw cut perhaps from the late 1800 or early 1900 from an old steam power sawmill.

Very cool! We went a little different route, but always good to see how others made actual barn doors! Too much laundry room pinterest junk!
